Flash Mob Square Dances

What are Flash Mob Square Dances?

A "Flash Mob Square Dance" is a public demonstration of square dancing which 'pops up', seemingly out of nowhere. The purpose is to show square dancing to the public in a way which gets their attention and show how much fun square dancing can be.

The flash mobs listed below will not be announced to the public in the area, nor placed on any schedule of events. Dancers will NOT wear traditional square dance attire, but regular, comfortable clothes (club polo shirts are great) and their club name badges. The music will be non-traditional, usually modern, but will also include contemporary arrangements of older popular songs (from the 50s, 60s, & 70s) to attract our target demographic of 45 to 65 year-old empty-nesters. Flash mobs will last about 30 minutes, but can go longer if response is positive (and the cops don't run us off!).

These flash mobs will also be interactive, getting the people off the street and into a square.
